A few of my favorite side projects + a few from a past life.
I'm one of the founding partners of former Minneapolis art gallery, XYandZ. XYandZ was dedicated to showcasing emerging artists, many of which came from street art and graffiti backgrounds. Shows have included artists such as, Ryan Quirt, Broken Crow, and Keegan Wenkman.
I collaborated in the development of the business, created the branding, helped design the physical space and worked on the curation, promotion and marketing of the gallery.
A huge mural a number of friends and I painted dedicated to our late and dear friend, Ryan Quirt a.k.a. THNX.
A few other earned media examples.
A project to turn abandoned buildings in Downtown Minneapolis into makeshift art galleries. Everything that was used in the making of this project was 100% recycled—from the previously used paint for the art itself, down to the materials used to make the posters promoting the event.
I helped create the concept and did the design and art direction for this project. Joe Belk was project manager, and Andrew Shannon and Aaron Bickner created the wonderful art.
